The Vicar General Very Rev. Fr. John Mwandi has cautioned the students against using short cuts in education advising them to embrace hard work and commitment in their academic pursuits. Speaking during the 2nd graduation ceremony of 60 students at St. John Paul II, Institute, Fr. Mwandi urged the students to be HONEST to themselves.

In a speech delivered by the vicar general, Bishop Mwongela praised St. John Paul II Institute for standing out in the field of education by offering numerous students a high-quality, all-encompassing education. He has promised to help the college maintain the St. John II spirit. Mr. William Maema, the chief guest, exhorted the graduates to embrace hard work in the future and be prepared to manage all the challenges that would come their way. He further enjoined them to travel the globe in the likeness of St. John Paul II and St. Joseph the Worker.

The institute was officially blessed and opened by the then Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya, His excellency Charles Balvo and the its first graduation was held on 5th April 2019
