Over the past few years, the Catholic Diocese of Kitui has experienced remarkable growth in vocations, particularly to the priesthood. This is a clear sign of God’s continued work among His people and the fruit of ongoing pastoral and vocational efforts.
As of 2025, the Diocese has a total of 90 seminarians in various stages of priestly formation. These young men are being formed spiritually, intellectually, pastorally, and humanly to serve the Church faithfully. Out of the 90, 15 seminarians are expected to be ordained as deacons in December 2025, a major milestone on their journey toward priestly ordination.

The Diocese invites all the people to continue supporting our seminarians through prayers, encouragement, and financial support. Forming a priest is a long and demanding journey that requires the involvement of the entire diocesan community. Let us remain united in nurturing vocations and praying that more young men respond generously to God’s call
