After the Christmas holiday, the seminarians who were at home for holidays have reported back to different Seminaries to continue with their Priesthood Formation.
During the vacation, they relaxed at home while helping at their home parishes. They gained experience by preaching the Word of God, visiting the Small Christian Communities(SCCs), organizing youth and other church groups.
Prior to reporting back to the seminary, each seminarian had a one on one meeting with the Vocations Director at the Secretariat office.
During these meetings, the seminarians shared their experiences from their homes and the parishes to the Vocations Director, Rev. Fr. Edward Mulwa. He encouraged them to take care of their vocations and study well.
The Catholic Diocese of Kitui has 84 seminarians in various levels of formation. Out of these, 14 will graduate in May 2025 with degrees in Theology. After graduation, they will be assigned to different parishes in the diocese for pastoral work as they await their Diaconate Ordination in December 2025.
