Kitui Pastoral Centre, also known as “Thome wa Aklisto,” was established to create facilities for accommodation and conferences for diocesan workshops, seminars, and training. The vision of the Kitui Pastoral Centre is to provide catering, accommodation, spiritual care, and comfortable services to help bring about the Kingdom of God.
The mission is to be a leading institution in providing holistic service for Christ. To generate income and support itself, the hospitality services were extended to accommodate other groups from non-governmental organizations, other denominations, and government meetings. The centre also accommodates any other group that is ready to comply with the centre’s laid strategies.
The centre has been in operation for a remarkable period of time. It was opened in January 1980 and was home to most of the diocesan offices before they were transferred to St. Augustine’s Secretariat.
