The Seminarians of the Catholic Diocese of Kitui have converged at St. Joseph’s Junior Seminary Mwingi for a one-week ongoing formation Workshop and Recollection.
In his opening remarks the Vocation’s Director Rev. Fr. John Kivosyo who is also serving as the Bishop’s executive secretary, emphasized that the Catholic Diocese of Kitui under the leadership of his Lordship Rt. Rev. Joseph Mwongela is committed to ensure that seminarians get the proper Human, Spiritual, Intellectual, Pastoral and Liturgical formation even when they are at home for the long Covid-19 holiday.
St. Joseph’s Seminary Rector, Rev. Fr. Jeremiah Munyoki echoed the words of the vocations director and urged him to put measures in place to ensure that personal formation of each seminarian is achieved. Fr. Josephat Ndunda was their Recollection companion for their first day.
The four days workshop will conclude on Thursday whereby Bishop Joseph Mwongela is expected to close it with Mass. On Friday the seminarians will go to different parishes across the Diocese where they have been posted for Pastoral Work until late December.
