Pastoral Department

Pastoral Ministry is the one of the oldest programmes in the Diocese.

The pastoral Department is headed by the diocesan pastoral Coordinator who coordinates the all the pastoral activities within the diocese and links the diocese with metropolitan and national office. The aim of the Pastoral department is to further pastoral initiatives and development in the parishes and the diocese at large. It exists to assist in the formation, care of the priests, parish empowerment. The pastoral work of the diocese is guided by the strategic plan 2016-2021 with the vision and mission. He is assisted in several programmes by a team of the following people in various sections which include bookshop, empowerment, communication, Youth and CMA.

In undertaking the pastoral ministry, several programmes and projects have been developed and initiated under the pastoral office including: Catechists  Formation, CWA, CMA, Youth, Small Christian Communities, Leadership and Empowerment, Diocesan Catholic Bookshop, Pastoral and Retreat centre, street children programme, Diocesan Pastoral council among others.
