Though the government has tried to reach out to the people in provision of affordable health services, majority here are yet to benefit. This is one of the areas where health units are very far from the people, especially in the interior. Mission dispensary run by the Servant of Mary (SMG) Sisters at Mutito has come in handy to save very many health cases. In a bid to alleviate living challenges faced by the locals here there are some projects initiated by the church. These include a health dispensary and a girls vocational training centre, both based at the Mission centre.
