Diocesan Family Day celebrations held on 14th November 2020 at St. Michaels School for the deaf.

The aim of the annual family day is to bring together all the Christians together to celebrate the many gifts which God has blessed us with as a Diocese, thank God for the generosity as well as fund-raise towards the support of various Diocesan Pastoral Projects.
The family day was a great sign, that the faithful truly believe in the ownership of the church, and that they are ready to support the church in her needs. From the faithful generosity, the diocese was able to raise Kshs 45 Million for the support of evangelization.
Bishop Mwongela appreciated all for the tireless efforts in ensuring that the vision and mission of the diocese are realized. He promised to work closely with the priests and the laity with unity to move the diocese forward. He requested the faithful to always pray for the priests so that they may serve faithfully and willingly in the vine yard of the Lord.
Mwingi Parish was awarded with priests vestments as the most improved parish while CWA was awarded with a desktop computer as the most improved church organ.
Nguni Parish, Mbitini parish, Ikanga parish, Katutu parish, Museve parish, Mwingi parish and Boma parish were awarded each with desktop computer for going beyond their target in their respective classes.
The event was attended by His Eminence John Cardinal Njue, His Lordship Rt. Rev. Joseph Mwongela, clergy, religious sisters and brothers, the laity, political leaders, among other dignitaries.
