The Holy mass was celebrated by his Lordship Rt. Rev. Joseph Mwongela assisted by Frs. Julius Muthamba and Paul Mutemi.
The main aim of the mass was to bless and dedicate the New Tuition block named “The Holy Innocents” in memory of the pupils who perished on 4/08/2018 through a fatal road accident from their educational tour.
In his homily, the bishop a urged all the people to continue Praying for parents whom their children died during the accident so that they may continue finding consolation and have peace of mind.
Bishop Mwongela also appreciated the parents for taking good care of the children during the Covid 19 pandemic Holiday when the children were at home.
The bishop emphasized on the importance of having children in schools and pleaded with the parents to bring the children to school to let them out of several ‘herods’ out there whose eyes are open to ruin the lives of children. “We are being tested to emerge winners in the circumstances around us, so let’s keep closer to God.” He said.
Rev. Fr. Julius Muthamba who is the Diocesan education secretary encouraged all to work together so that they may bring sanity in school and bring up children holistically.
