Nyeri archbishop and apostolic administrator Kitui diocese Most Rev Anthony Muheria who presided over the ceremony urged couples to embrace forgiveness as a special gift from God that brings joy, peace and love to families. He also urged mature couples who married long time ago to offer advice’s to newly married time to time.
Fr. Joseph Kongo who is the parish priest and also Diocesan pastoral coordinator applauded the couples for the noble step they have made in their lives. He requested them to be role models to others. He also said that next year 2020 during the St. Patrick’s Day they are hoping to have more than 200 couples will solemnize their marriages.
Touching on corruption matters His Grace Anthony Muheria affirmed the stand of the church to justice and honesty for public servants. He called on each to stand against corruption and bribery for the betterment of the country.
