Pray for God’s grace in various vocations which you have responded to, bishop Mwongela urges the faithful

His Lordship Rt. Rev. Joseph Mwongela has called upon all the faithful to pray for God’s grace in various vocations which they have responded to.

Speaking in Mbitini Parish during the official opening and dedication of St. Jude Catholic Parish, Church, the bishop advised those who have responded to the call of Holy Matrimony to have patience in their marriages and respect that call.  He advised the troubled couples to pray and seek guidance from relevant people rather than making unnecessary decisions like committing suicide.

Prior to the church opening, four couples solemnized their marriages very early in the morning and joined the other faithful in the church opening Holy Mass.

His lordship requested all the people to have unity and participate willingly towards the growth of the church. “Extend generosity to others. Remember that the goodness you do to others, one da it will be done either to you or your generation.” He said.

Rev. Fr. Mark who is the father in charge, appreciated all the people for their support and generosity in ensuring that the faithful of Mbitini have a magnificent place of worship. He urged all to embrace prayers and faith in all the plans they have citing the motto they had for the church construction “Faith moves mountains”

The bishop also emphasized on the importance of self-reliance and empowerment and challenged the faithful to work hard on realizing this goal at this time when donors and sponsors are pulling out in sponsoring African churches. He stressed on the need of every one to work for a better future and strong church.

His Lordship also advised all to go through the BBI report and understand it fully before making any decisions.

In attendance were the faithful, clergy, Religious, area MP among other dignitaries.
