Kimangao parish is the only parish in the entire diocese that serves two different ethnic communities; Kamba (majority) and Tharaka (minority). The Tharaka people are on the far west of the parish along River Tana. We have four outstations among Tharaka community. The priest says Mass in Kamba Language to Tharaka (who understand the language). The diocese has started translating Mass format into Tharaka language for convenience. However it will take translate the entire liturgy in to Tharaka Language.

The parish is headed by Rev. Fr. Paul Ng’oku
