Kitui Diocese holds CLiMAK Festivals

The Diocesan CLiMAK Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Jefferson has urged all the choirs in Kitui Diocese to embrace Rosary Prayers and unity in the quest of making their singing gift fruitful.

Addressing more than 23 choirs who had congregated at our Lady of Africa Cathedral for CLiMAK festivals, Fr. Jefferson advised them to be prayerful and always solve their differences amicably to avoid breakages.

CLiMAK stands for Catholic Liturgical Music Association of Kenya and it was introduced to Kitui Diocese in 2015 from the Kenya conference of Catholic Bishops with an aim of giving an opportunity to all the choirs to show case the best of their talents in singing and especially in the Church during mass.

The festivals saw stiff competition in all the classes where by St. Cecilia from Mwingi emerged position one in Bronze class, Our Lady of Protection Museve won in the Silver Class while Holy Family Choir Kabati won in Gold class beating Our Lady of Africa Cathedral.

Position one to four in each class will be representing the diocese of Kitui in the National festivals to be held in Meru next month.
