The Primary Premium program was officially opened by the Diocesan Education Secretary, Rev. Fr. Julius Muthamba on 12th April 2015 at St. Michael’s Boarding Primary School at around 6pm.
PPP is program for mentorship purposes targeting six catholic class eight pupils who are above average, needy and disciplined from public primary schools within the parishes.
In his opening remarks, the education secretary informed the pupils that they are very important people and that as a diocese they are ready to assist them to realize their dreams irrespective of their family backgrounds. “There is something you can do to become a better person in life and that us why you have been chosen to attend this mentorship/leadership seminar” he encouraged them.

On this, the twenty-third World Day of the Sick, begun by Saint John Paul II, I turn to all of you who are burdened by illness and are united in various ways to the flesh of the suffering Christ, as well as to you, professionals and volunteers in the field of health care.
St. John Paul II Institute of Professional Studies officially opened as diocese ordains two more deacons.
The Pope’s Representative in Kenya, His Excellency the Archbishop Charles Balvo, officially opened and blessed the Kitui Catholic Diocese’s Saint John Paul II Institute of Professional Studies at St. Michael’s Kitui school for the deaf on 10th May 2014.
